Space Coast Future - It always interests me to hear what other people think about this whole space business. For us who are in the front lines of pushing the boundaries every day, it is easy to forget how different our perspective on the subject can be compared to that of the general public. National Public Radio (NPR) had an interesting piece on the future of Florida’s Space Coast recently, which is a great showpiece on how the public can (or cannot) be invested into spaceflight.
Did you know that Cape Canaveral has the phone area code of 321 - countdown anyone? No that’s not a coincidence :). Our critics often point out how space exploration is of little real value or interest to the general public, but when you look around a place like the Florida Space Coast you’ll be amazed in how many ways people participate in the collective dream of human spaceflight.
