MorpHex Robot - Meet one of the coolest robot designs I’ve ever seen, the morphing hexapod MorpHex. This thing can move super-precise over challenging terrain, or hurtle along like a tumbleweed at breakneck speeds. Not to mention it looks out of this world! This is what space probes were meant to be like :).
Morphex was created by Norwegian Engineer Kare Halvorsen who has a passion for creating hexapod robots in his spare time. Probably one of his more impressive pieces of work, he has recently updated Morphex to not only have the ability to transform from a ball to a robot, but also to be able to roll about while in sphere form.
